as you head around the bay, clouds through the morning hours low clouds and not as much fog. it will be hazy by noon but not as many high clouds this afternoon. upper 50s to 70s. everybody is clear this morning. here is a look at temperatures by noon, 74-58 and quite a spread. to up to 90 in the east bay valleys. we have a serious accident with full road closure in the south bay between hollister and gilroy. 25 is closed between 101 and shell road. fatal accident. chp expects a closure for two hours, 101 southbound, off-ramp to highway 25 towards hollister is closed for the duration. that of westbound 580, an accident with an overturn blocking the left lane coming out of the central valley and live look at the toll plaza, metering lights are on. >> a string of suspicious fires

overnight have arson investigators sifting for clues in antioch. amy hollyfield is live at a strip mall. >> reporter: at first they were concerned about losing this whole building. firefighters will tell you, shared space like this, tenant after tenant they were worried it was going to spread. take a look what they saw when they got here. there was a tree on fire, pretty big fire and starting to spread to the 99 cent store. that is when firefighters got nervous and brought in more help. they got the fire out. they saved the strip mall but then they started poking around and realized there is something suspicious going on. >> fire on the northwest side of the building. then we did have additional fire on the southeast side of the building and hour before that there was a fire down the street

on sycamore. we do have an investigator investigating it. >> reporter: three different sites of fires, all within an hour. antioch police said, let's bring in the arson team for this one. this happened at "l" and sycamore in antioch. this is the sycamore square shopping center. the building did burn on the outside but they saved the mall and businesses will be open today. i collected in with the fire department and investigators are still taking a look at everything and haven't made a decision at this point, amy hollyfield, "abc 7 news". >> eric: a menlo park school will stay closed this morning but it plans to reopen on monday after a fire destroyed administrative offices and a classroom. we brought it to you first live yesterday morning when flames erupted at the beachwood school on terminal avenue. they say the cause as a faulty kitchen appliance. fortunately most of students' records were found salvageable.

>> kristen: a high-speed chase that ended in a shot being fired. it happened in vallejo about 7:25 last night. the police chased the two men on 680 and ended in pleasant hill where the suspect's truck crashed at fair oaks elementary school. one of the suspects made a gesture that made the officers think he had a gun. there were no children there. they took both suspects into custody and found drugs in the truck. classes will reassume at the school this morning. >> eric: new this morning, the board of regents approved a financial settlement in to an incident. they announced the settlement in san francisco. that settlement had been reached in earlier negotiations with mediator. details will not be released though until the settlement is filed in district court. the settlement allows the
